Times have really changed -
Since I was a boy
Finding a penny -
Was a source of joy
The trip to the candy store -
Was a remarkable event
Contemplating your choices -
'Til your money was spent
It meant bubble gum -
Lollipops and hard candy too
They all cost a penny -
Just to name a few
Nowadays it's different -
What can a penny do
The answer my friend -
Is all up to you
Find that brown coin -
And bring it past your door
Then each day you double -
The amount you had before
And in thirty days -
You can live of life of bliss
With one million dollars -
Finding joy is hard to miss
